AAMP Indash

An in-dash media display system for the automotive aftermarket. Special attention was given to ease of installation and the locking mechanism for security.

Worked with EE team to make sure the design details worked with board specifications under tight budget and time constraints.

Scallops in the side bezels allow for safe “no look” use of the capacitive touch buttons on the edge of the display while driving. This gave the device a super clean look but still clearly indicates the physical button zones.

The LED’s around the dials added a nice halo effect by reflecting off the mirror black housing, further highlighting the primary physical interface elements.
