Fountain Pen

A series of fountain pens was designed through Machine Histories.

The pens used a range of manufacturing techniques from standard molding, machining and 3D printing. More exotic manufacturing methods were explored such as co-molding parts and mixing in carbon captured exhaust from F1 cars intermixed with 3D printed resin for a translucent smoked effect.

Additional designs used internal piping cut out of the model that would later be injected with paint to create intertwined forms below the surface of the pen body.
