NZXT Laptop Stand

Laptop stand for performance gaming users. I developed out a mechanical rail system that allowed an off the shelf PC fan placement to be adjusted on the back of the unit. This allowed for optimal cooling with fans that could be placed under hot spots on an individual laptop.

Initial concept was developed through a series of sketch renderings that explored form, surfacing and lighting options. Final design was constrained to a single two part injection mold. Variations of mechanical attachment of fans were also explored.
