JBL Headphones

Part of JBL product exploration and inspiration for a new line of over-the-ear headphones. These all had funky adjustment mechanisms and off the wall styling that were targeted at specific market segments and use cases.

The minimal urban/commuter was the most interesting to me by far. The design had interchangeable speaker pods that contained different driver diameters, soft touch rubber interiors with discreet bump buttons for releasing the internal adjustment mechanism.

There was even left/right plugs for connecting the cables on either side of the headphones or daisy chaining them for using a single audio source for multiple units.
